FOREIGN RELATIONS INTEREST:
Academic work at Columbia University, with its diverse student body and nearby United Nations, early fostered a world view.

Involvement with American Lawyers Auxiliary's mission (promoting education and appreciation of liberty, law and good citizenship) had produced interaction with leaders across the U.S., stimulating dialogue regarding American democracy and its relation to other nations.

In the face of a shrinking world and conflicting ideologies, the Birmingham Foreign Relations Committee offers an exceptional, local opportunity to hear knowledgable speakers and to dialogue on foreign relations.
