In Washington, D.C., David worked from 1992-1993 as Legislative Assistant to Congressman William L. Dickinson (R-AL), and then moved on to supervise a congressional relations program for a small lobbying group focusing on international affairs. In 1993, he led a Congressional Staff Delegation to the Federal Republic of Nigeria to observe the 1993 elections there.
He served as an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1990-1999, and in 1999, deployed to Bosnia-Hersegovina as part of the U.S. contingent supporting the NATO mission Operation Joint Forge.
David received his law degree from Cumberland Law School in 1998.
Formerly an Estate Planning Trust Officer with
AmSouth Bank, David works currently with T. Leavell & Associates,
a Registered Investment Advisor, assisting clients with their investing
and estate planning needs.
He is current a Member of the Estate Planning Council of Birmingham, the UAB Professional Advisory Council, and the Alabama State Bar.
David is married to the former Buffy Bromberg,
and they have three children.
